“Nurse Manager of CVOR RN
Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a Manager (RN) CVOR for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. What You Will Do In Your Role:
You will assist the Director of Surgical Services with all department activities to assure a coordinated effort in fulfilling department responsibilities with the long range plan, mission, vision, and values of the facility.
You will assist in coordinating the department’s participation in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement.
You will ensure that nursing care is based on the nursing process and evaluates the effectiveness on an ongoing basis.
You will provide clinical support to the nursing staff.
You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team.
What qualifications you will need:
MUST HAVE RECENT (Within the last year) acute care 2 years of leadership experience in the CVOR with at least 5 years experience as OR Circulator with a minimum of 3 years experience as a CVOR RN Circulator
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
Current American Heart Association BLS Certification is required.
CNOR is preferred.

Additional Information:
· How many years of experience do candidates need for this role? Must have at least 5 years experience as OR Circulator with a minimum of 3 years experience as a CVOR RN Circulator. Minimum 2 years supervisory experience. BSN & CVOR certification required. BLS & ACLS required. Administrative Call Required, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays. May be required to function as CVOR RN and/or Scrub Tech based on staffing and case volumes.
· Is there anything specific the HM is looking for? This is a “HIGH†intense/priority position working closely with our stellar physician; must be very skilled in nursing/communications
· Does this position need to have recent acute care experience (Within the last year)? Yes, must have the following requirements – Must have at least 5 years experience as OR Circulator with a minimum of 3 years experience as a CVOR RN Circulator. Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
· What is the support system for this role? For example, Charge Nurses; supervisors that help support the leader. Will support/manage – 2 RN’s, Lead Certified Surgical Tech (CVOR) for now
