The Sterile Processing Tech Coordinator position in McKinney, TX, offers a full-time, permanent role. Pay range of USD 17/hr. to 24/hr. Key Responsibilities: Coordination & Leadership: Manage sterilization schedules to meet daily operating room requirements. Oversee staff workload to ensure instruments are prepared for the next day. Provide training and mentorship to technician staff, including onboarding new employees. Sterilization & Instrument Management: Perform sterilization, assembly, and packaging of specialty instrument trays for procedures. Ensure all instruments are clean, decontaminated, and stocked to maintain a safe patient environment. Establish and enforce proper cleaning methods for various types of instruments. Quality Assurance: Collect, read, and document biological tests to ensure sterilizing equipment functions correctly. Notify staff of any issues with biological test results and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. Equipment & Inventory Management: Identify instruments for replacement or repair and process them accordingly. Manage consignment equipment, ensuring it is signed in and processed according to department policy. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing or a related field. Certifications: Must hold one of the following certifications: Certified Surgical Tech (CST) Certified Board Sterile Processing & Distribution (CBSPD) Certified Sterile Processing/Distribution Tech (CSPDT) Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) Required Documents: Copy of your Updated Resume Copy of your Driver’s License Copy of your SPT License Copy of Certification Copy of BLS Certification Last four digits of SSN Copy of your COVID vaccination certificate Copy of any additional Supporting Documents Benefits: Eligibility for benefits on day 1.
